Datacenter on demand

Managed equipment & complete solutions

Not every capacity need starts with a hardware SKU list. Datacenter on demand packages modular infrastructure, power, cooling, and lifecycle operations into a managed footprint — edge halls, AI pods, or prefab capacity you can stand up faster than a stick-built build.

What “datacenter on demand” means here

Cloudbit’s Catalog and BOM Builder map component-level design. Services covers the complementary path: vendors and operators who deliver complete solutions — modular / prefabricated capacity, remote management, and equipment lifecycle — so you buy outcomes (capacity, uptime, sovereignty) rather than only piece-parts.

  • Managed equipment — monitoring, maintenance, and lifecycle coverage on power, cooling, and IT modules
  • Modular / prefab capacity — factory-built halls or edge units that deploy in weeks, not multi-year construction
  • Ops software layer — fleet visibility, GPU-as-a-Service orchestration, or EcoStruxure / DCIM-style control
  • Quote required — commercial models (capex, opex, as-a-service) vary by site and scope; Cloudbit does not invent list prices or SKUs

When to use Services vs. Catalog / BOM

Use Catalog and BOM Builder when you are elevating a rack or selecting named hardware. Use Services when the conversation is “stand up capacity with managed infrastructure,” especially at the edge, for AI density, or when you want a single accountable delivery + lifecycle partner.

Buyer checklist

Scope

  • Edge / remote site vs. campus AI pod vs. hall expansion
  • Who owns land, utility power, and network handoff
  • Data residency / sovereignty constraints

Delivery

  • Factory vs. site assembly boundaries and commissioning ownership
  • Time-to-capacity target (weeks vs. months)
  • Whether compute is included or you bring your own GPUs / servers

Operate

  • Remote monitoring SLAs and on-site response
  • Lifecycle / EcoCare-style coverage for UPS, cooling, and modules
  • How the service integrates with your DCIM, identity, and change process

Vertiv

Prefab DC · lifecycle services

Vertiv combines prefabricated / modular data center infrastructure with a large global field-service and digital-services footprint — from design and commissioning through predictive maintenance and lifecycle optimization of power and thermal systems.

  • OneCore — slab-up hall, 5–50 MW and 96–944 racks in one block (5 Aug 2025)
  • SmartMod → MegaMod → CoolChip / HDX — from ~100 kW rooms to 0.5–1 MW blocks and liquid AI pods toward 10 MW. TimberMod is the mass-timber shell, not a new kW class
  • Services portfolio — project, digital, thermal, UPS, liquid cooling, and related lines. No public tier SKUs
  • Next Predict — AI condition-based maintenance managed service (NOC / 24×7 engineers). Not a GPU cloud

Schneider Electric / APC

EcoStruxure modular · EcoCare

Schneider Electric (APC brand for many power products) offers EcoStruxure modular / prefabricated data center solutions plus EcoCare membership-style lifecycle services that wrap UPS, cooling, and switchgear for modular sites — including remote monitoring and expert support.

  • Four module forms — all-in-one, IT pod, power module / skid, data hall. Easy EU all-in-one is the only one with a published rack band (5–14 racks, about 27–94 kW)
  • IT Pod — product page: up to 40+ high-density racks. Jun 2025 PR: pods up to 1 MW and beyond
  • EcoCare classes — Essential (ECRESS), Advanced (ECRADV), Plus advanced (ECRPADV). Public codes name the kW band; dollars are quote required
  • EcoConsult — assess-and-modernize. No public plan code on the pages checked

How these map on the stack

Managed / modular offerings still sit on Cloudbit’s stack map — they just bundle multiple layers under one delivery model.

Facility + power + cooling

Prefab shells, UPS-backed distribution, and thermal (including liquid for AI density) arrive as integrated modules rather than separate bid packages.

Compute & fabric (optional)

Armada-style Galleon / Leviathan paths can include GPU-dense compute and networking; Vertiv and Schneider often partner or leave IT fit-out to the customer / SI.

Ops & lifecycle

Remote monitoring, predictive maintenance, EcoCare-style contracts, and fleet software are the “manage” half of design / build / manage — not an afterthought SKU.

Sources for the ladders are linked under each table (fetched 3 Oct 2026). No invented Gartner scores, list prices, or unpublished SKUs. Where a brochure and a press release disagree, both figures are shown. Quote required for commercial terms.
